雪の砂浜 Winter Beach

クリ地方、日曜日は最高のお天気でした。
ミシガン湖の真横にあるグレイトレイクスネイビーベース。
その中にある砂浜へぶらりと行って来ました。
Sunday was a sunny beautiful day.
We visited the beach at Great Lakes Navy Base. This is Lake Michigan.

海みたいでしょ？湖なんです～！私は雪の砂浜見るの生まれて初めてなんです。今まで雪の中、ビーチに行ってみようと思った事なかったから。あまりの美しさに感動！
早速次の日、曇りにもかかわらずクリを連れて来ました。
I saw the snow covered beach for the first time in my life! It was so beautiful, I had to bring Kuri even on gloomy day!

砂の上に積もった雪の上を初めて歩きました！
マシュマロか真綿の上を歩いているみたい！雲の上ってこんな感じかな？
Sand and snow felt like marshmallows or cotton! Walking on the clouds!!

波に向かって、闇雲に歩いて行くクリ。
足をばしゃっと洗われてびっくり！
She ran to the water and waves washed her feet.

ま～走ったのなんのってもう！
We ran so much on the beach!

砂に鼻を突っ込むのでもう泥んこ。
She puts her nose in the sand....muddy nose...

風で出来た塚。
Kuri on top of the hill.

雪の上に砂がまぶされている様子。
ひとつ思った事は、磯の香りがしない事。砂浜と言えば海、という感覚で育った私達。
湖だから当然なんだけど。
でもとってもきれいで、楽しい散歩でしたよ。
The sand covered snow made a beautiful pattern.
The beach had no smell of salt...we grew up by the ocean so it was very interesting. Of course its a Lake, Right?!
Any way, it was so beautiful we really enjoyed it.

車に戻ってブランケットで包みます。筋肉冷えすぎたままはよくないですから。

車内が暖かくなり、私のひろ～い膝の上も心地よくぽかぽかで眠気が、、、、
Kuri is warm and sleepy....now....

帰りにペットショップへ寄ってたくさんのわんこに逢い、みんなに可愛い～！と言われて満足顔のクリ。
We dropped by the petshop on the way home. She met a lot of dogs and people. Everyone told her " She so beautiful!!" She is a one happy dog!

お家に着いたらベッドにもぐりこんですやすや。
よっぽど、疲れたんだね。
 When we got home, she curled up in bed.
